CBC Pension plan

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Pension Plan was established by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation effective September 1, 1961, pursuant to provisions of the Broadcasting Act.

Pension administration Centre (PAC)

PAC services include:

  • Answering questions from members on all pension-related issues.
  • Providing pension calculations to active and deferred members.
  • Providing instructions to the CBC Pension Payroll department for pension payments.
  • Adjusting/indexing pension payments.
  • Processing survivor benefits/estate settlements.

EAP Resources Centre:

The EAP provides confidential information and professional advice to CBC pensioners and their spouses. You can contact the EAP 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and receive support for a variety of issues
 
 
 

Special Assistance Fund:

Helps CBC employees and pensioners, and their dependents, with expenses, when traditional or other benefits do not fully meet the need.

A surplus has built up over several years in various employee-paid insurance programs, and the SAF was created as a fair and equitable way to distribute those surplus funds.
