About this Chapter
When the National Association was created in the year 2000, the existing Quebec Association became the Quebec Region of the PNA covering the province with the exception of Gatineau, which is part of the National Capital Region. The members of the Quebec Region who lived in Quebec City, Chicoutimi, Rimouski and Matane became the Quebec City Chapter. At the same time, the Quebec Region was established as a not-for-profit organization under the laws of the Province of Quebec under the name “L’Association québécoise des retraité(e)s de Radio-Canada”. Today it is the region that boasts the greatest number of members – over 1900 retirees and surviving spouses. More than 250 of these make up the Quebec City chapter.
