NORTH CENTRAL ONTARIO – SIGHTSEEING CRUISE – OCTOBER 1, 2025

October 1, 2025
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

You’re invited to come cruising!

Our cruise last year was such a success, we’ve decided to try another one. On Wednesday, October 1, the North Central Ontario chapter of the CBC Pensioners National Association is sponsoring an afternoon trip out of Gravenhurst!

We’ll be travelling on the Wenonah 2, a replica of the steamships that used to travel the Muskoka lakes, for a 1 ½ hour sightseeing cruise

It will be a great chance to see some old friends, get plenty of fresh air, and hopefully see some of the high end “cottages” that dot the shore. And if we’re lucky, the changing leaves should add to the show.

And there’s more good news. The ticket includes access to the Muskoka Discovery Centre, a combination museum and gallery, which currently holds a stunning collection of antique wooden boats, an exhibit on 10,000 years of indigenous presence in Muskoka, and a display on the Muskoka watershed and ecosystem

The cruise is from 2:30-4 pm, but come early to tour the Centre (maybe even get some lunch locally.) Make a day of it!

And for all this, you pay only $10, thanks to support from the NCO chapter, and the PNA.

There’s one important note, though. Tickets sell out fast, so you have to let us know right away if you’re coming, and e-transfer the payment to Dawesradio@gmail.com  by Sunday, September 14, so we can book tickets the next day. This price is for PNA members and companions, so make sure you note the names of who is coming on the e-transfer.

Remember, the cruise is leaving from the Muskoka Wharf, 840 Muskoka Rd S, Gravenhurst, where there’s plenty of parking , Wednesday October 1, 2:30  – 4 pm    RSVP ASAP!
